The Hazara Afghan Association of New Zealand (HAANZ), has recently proposed to collect donations from different sources in search of incentives to build a mosque in Auckland, New Zealand. While there is over NZ$140,000 have been collected mainly through the collective efforts and contribution of the HAANZ community members, however there are some members of the community who have criticised the move as unbold and lack of planned decision making. While there are many mixed feeling among the community members about the proposed mosque, long term planning and decision making at each stage would facilitate the project including resolving the criticism towards the mosque.
