Welcome to the All Hazara Afghan Association of New Zealand Inc (AHAANZ). AHAANZ is a community built based on the same needs, issues, values, challenges and even some objectives and goals which most members of the AHAANZ community share in common. Most members of our community have came from the Hazara ethnic community originally from Afghanistan. However we as a community have an "open arm policy" meaning that anybody who shows interests and commitments to our values and needs can join us. We have organised our community in response to the shared needs and common issues we as members face. We believe that sense of community would empower members to be socially more proactive and productive, maintain cultural identity and seek help at the point of need. Furthermore our aim is to build up bridges with other communities, organisations, institutions, government departments and individuals within New Zealand and overseas in order to enhance determining and addressing our people's needs.

2. The Hazara Afghan Association of New Zealand (AHAANZ) has recently hosted Zia Sahill and his musician group to perform Hazaragi and Afghan music for this year's Tampa Anniversary event. Mr. Sahill currenly lives in Melbourne, Australia, who has been entertaining people in many events. He has been singing traditional hazaragi songs, dari songs and quali songs. Below are some of the pictures from his performance in this year's 2010 Tampa Day Anniversary.
3. The AHAANZ community has recently held a Quran recitation competition in which about 60 reciters participated. The programme was voiced as a success by the AHAANZ community members.
